Hi, I'm Dr. Patel,

I am a board-certified pediatrician, a lactation consultant in Columbus, Ohio, and mom of two. When I began my journey in medicine, my goal was simple: to help families keep their children healthy.

However, after practicing for over 10 years, I realized the traditional medical model often takes away valuable time that doctors could spend with their patients, leading to kids needing frequent visits and frustration for both physicians and families. This realization inspired me to create Thrive Pediatrics—a practice focused on providing better care through time, connection, and trust.

As a pediatrician and a mom, I deeply understand the desire parents have to give their children the best. I find true joy in my work when I can connect with families, build trusting relationships, and empower them to raise thriving children. Partnering with families in this way is not just my profession—it’s my passion.

My passion for lactation support began after the birth of my own children and grew as I found myself assisting new mothers during my nursing shifts.

Through my work, I recognized a significant gap in support for families during the prenatal and fourth trimester periods. This realization inspired my commitment to providing comprehensive lactation and postpartum care.

I also have a particular interest in perinatal mood disorders and in helping parents navigate the emotional and physical transitions of early parenthood.

I am deeply committed to education and holistic, individualized care. Practicing within a concierge medicine model allows me the time and flexibility to deliver personalized support that empowers families to thrive throughout their parenting journey.

I’m a Family Nurse Practitioner and International Board-Certified Lactation Consultant. My professional background includes several years of pediatric nursing experience at Nationwide Children’s Hospital, where I developed a strong foundation in family-centered care.

Not to mention that it is WAY cheaper than the bills I was getting from Licking Memorial Pediatrics, even when I had insurance!! No more copays, insane hospital bills or fighting with insurance companies about what's covered. My 1yr old gets excellent care, everything you can get with a typical pediatrician, but even better one-on-one time with Dr. Patel. I would highly recommend to anyone with a newborn!
